Chess: Kazakhstan's Zhansaya Abdumalik won silver at World Championship



Kazakhstan chess-player Zhansaya Abdumalik won a silver medal in her U-12 Girls category at the World Youth Championship that was held in Slovenia, Vesti.kz reports.

The young Kazakhstan citizen had excellent changes of winning gold at the World Championship untill the last moment. She could have won the gold if she had won over India’s Riya Savant and if another more India’s chess player R. Vaishali had lost her game. However, Vaishali tied with China’s Yuan Ye and Abdumalik failed to win over Savant.
