Histoire du Go en Chine

Depuis quelques années, les Chinois sont arrivés en force sur la scène du Go mondial. Le Championnat du Monde amateur qui se tient chaque année depuis 1979 à Tokyo a permis aux joueurs Chinois d'apparaître sous les projecteurs. C'est ainsi que Nie Wei Ping, Chen Zu De, Ma Xiao Chung ou Shao, champion 1981 sont devenus des stars du Go mondial. Chez les femmes, Kung Shang Ming est reconnue par tous comme la meilleure joueuse du monde. Mais également la Chine montre sa volonté d'ouverture en envoyant régulièrement des délégations dans les grandes manifestations du Go européen depuis 1979, année qui vit la première apparition d'une équipe chinoise au Congrès Européen de Paris.

En fait, cette percée n'est qu'apparente car le Go est présent en Chine depuis des millénaires.

On a peu d'informations sur l'histoire du Go en Chine. Beaucoup moins en tous cas que sur l'histoire du Go au Japon. Des articles sur ce sujet sont publiés de temps à autre dans la revue chinoise Weiqi, mais sont difficilement accessibles. En tout cas aucun travail de fond n'a été entrepris sur le sujet en Chine.

Le Go est né au Tibet ou en Chine du nord il y a peut être 4000 ans. Ses origines sont douteuses : il est probable que l'objet avec lequel on joue a été inventé avant le jeu. Il pouvait s'agir d'une sorte de boulier. Cette hypothèse s'appuie sur le fait qu'on a retrouvé, en archéologie romaine, des abaques composés d'une grille sur laquelle on déposait des pions... Une fois le matériel construit, il ne manque plus que la règle de prise pour avoir un jeu de Go.....

Women’s World Chess Team Championship 2013

The Women’s World Chess Team Championship will take place from 2nd-12th March at the Duma Hotel in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The organizers of the coming event are the Chess Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the FIDE World Chess Federation, with the support of Astana’s Agency for Sports and Physical Education and the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan....Astana will gather around 50 best chess players from ten countries: China, Russia, Ukraine, USA, India, France, Turkey, Georgia, Romania and Kazakhstan....

The Zurich Chess Challenge 2013 was officially opened in Switzerland. The four competitors – Viswanathan Anand, Boris Gelfand, Fabiano Caruana, and Vladimir Kramnik, played a double round robin blitz opener.
Right from the start Kramnik and Caruana showed their intentions to fight for the top positions at the Zurich blitz opener.
