Anastasia Bodnaruk (Russian: Анастасия Боднарук; born 30 March 1992)[1] is a Russian chess player who holds the titles of International master and Woman grandmaster.
In 2003, Bodnaruk won the European Under-12 Girls Chess Championship.[2] She was the runner up at both the European and World U12 Girls Championships in 2004 and bronze medalist in the 2005 World U14 Girls Championship.[3][4][5]
In 2008, she won the Russian Junior (Under-20) Girls Championship[6] and helped the Russian team to win silver in the U16 Chess Olympiad.[7]
Bodnaruk played in the Russia B team at the 39th Chess Olympiad (Women), scoring 7/8 with a rating performance of 2569. This result earned her the silver medal on fourth board.[8]
In August 2010, she was part of the Russian women's team in the 7th China-Russia Match.[9]
In 2012, she won for the second time the Russian Junior Girls Championship [10] and placed equal first (third on tiebreak) in the World Junior Girls Chess Championship.[11]
Bodnaruk competed in the Women's World Chess Championship 2012 and was knocked out in the first round by Lela Javakhishvili.
In June 2013, she won the Russian Championship Higher League (Women)[12]and therefore qualfied for the Russian Women's Championship Superfinal, in which she finished eighth.[13] In December of that year she won the Women's Russian Cup, a knockout tournament, defeating WIM Margarita Schepetkova in the final.[14]
In 2015, Bodnaruk won the Saint Petersburg Women's Rapid Championship[15] and the Russian Women's Blitz Championship,[16] and finished second in the Russian Women's Championship Superfinal.[17]
